Anyone have one of these?

This is an overseas release of the Hornet. Has Red Solid Coverstock.

I know about 5 people that have this ball due to our collegiate team having a deal with Lane Masters.  Ball rolls same as the green hornet, just a solid red color.

If the Red one has a solid coverstock and the Green, USA version has the pearlized HD (harder durometer coverstock), HOW can they react the same?

It's actually odd.  The appearance of the Red one is solid...yet what the pro shop operator was told is that it's still a  pearl, just has the look of a solid.  Love to give an explanation on that one, but i don't have one.

Pearls and solid polished resins are sort of a Lanemasters mystery unto themselves. Some of their pearls act like solids and some of their polished solid resins act more like pearls. Just too bizarre to wrap my mind around!

The red Hornet is a REALLY, REALLY nice looking ball; the USA green Hornet (sort of grey and green marbling) is totally non-descript and bland. Nothing at all to do with bowling; just an observation. Red is kind of exciting; the green marble is mind-numbing, which may be perfect for bowling - not distracting.

I agree when it comes to the red hornet.  That's part of the reason I and other members of the collegiate team were kind of drawn to it.  It's not every day that you seen a bright red ball.  Like you said about the hornet and lane masters pearls/ polished solids...they can give a reaction that you would not expect out of the ball.  The hornet is sneaky strong on house and some broken down sport conditions.  I've also seen a slow spinner hook a green hornet completely across the lane.  Anyways.  I agree on the appearance of the hornets.  The green one, though an attractive green pearl, doesnt catch the eye quite as much as the bright red.  I personally would have liked the red with a little pearl in it for aesthetic purposes.

Yup, and it's also more expensive than a regular Hornet. Good looking is nice; but money is money.
