Quality of L\LM stuff

I've heard lots of things about them being very high quality.  Just how durable are they?

  I have been looking at the Big R Bang and the Black Pearl for starters.

Speaking on behalf of the Black Pearl, I have close to 100 games on it since late april and I can honestly say there is no signs of a track or any other wear on this very durable coverstock.

u wont find better quality balls for sure.if u ned particle balls lm stuff is exactly what u ned

Sorry. The Terminator and the Black Pearl do not use the diamond dust as particles. I heard the reason for that in the term was that the diamonds only came in one size and the Term has two different sized particles in the coverstock. I think the only balls that used the diamonds as particles were the New Standard, the Yeah Baby, the New Standard 2, and the Big Kahuna.

Besides the particle balls, their "regular" resin balls, like the Masterpiece & the Absolute Power, seem to take forever to get a track started in them. If that's any indication of quality, then, Yes, they are made of some great stuff.

Two of my friends have BP's.  Theirs have been dinged up quite a bit.  One of them had a chunk taken out in less than 6 games.  The other one has small nicks in it.  I have one and it only has light scratches due to limited use.  Where as the cover on my New Standard seems invincible.  My favorite, the World Class Reactive is holding up nicely as well so far.  Any knowledge of bad batches by anyone?

Thanks for the replies.  I'm still considering making L/LM my next purchase, just don't really know where to start off with them.

  I was looking at the black pearl and the big r bang because I seem to have good luck out of balls designed to go a bit longer before they read the pattern.  I am rev dominant, so balls that have a reputation for good, smooth reaction shapes are ALWAYS on my radar.

  Anyone have any specific experience with the big r bang?

I had to use Trizact to truly change the surface of my Masterpiece, a non-p;article resin. It seems impervious to "plain" wet/dry sandpaper. Who knows what actually is being used? The source for the Terminator's particle, I thought was pretty reliable at the time ...

FYI the Lanemasters balls (as opposed to the Legends balls) that say their particles are "Super Carbon" are definitely not diamonds, although Lm/L said the particles were fairly close. Only the Legends brand used diamonds, as far as I know/knew.
