Xtreme Damage
« on: January 16, 2011, 09:47:18 PM »
Who can give some feedback on the LM Xtreme Damage?  How it's drilled and your stats. with lane conditions tried on.  What it handles well and what it doesn't?  Also interested in knowing if any have tried it on a carried down condition?

Thanks for the help!

I have one and mainly use it for Med - light.  This ball gives you nice length, with sharp backend.  When it hits, it hit's hard.  I have mine drilled pin above ring finger and primarily play the outside track.  When my Terminator is too much, I usually go to this. There's polish on it and when there's a lot of oil, or carry down, you  have to be careful.  It may skid a little for you.  I think if you scuff it, it would work, I have not, due to having the Terminator, Black Pearl, Black Diamond and two Yeah Baby's.  In comparison to the Yeah Baby, the Extreme flips much harder, while the YB is smoother.

I have two honor scores, 299, 300 and a 795.  So, I like it and it has paid for itself 5 times over.

Scott,

If you haven't read them yet, I have two reviews on here about the Xtreme Damage.

Thanks elvismat.  I read the reviews and from what most reviewers are saying it aligns closer to how BTM reviewed the ball vs. BJI had it a slightly less strength ball. BJI Lanemasters Xtreme Damage Review  Agree with Mr. Cerar or ?

Anyway I am looking for a ball that will get some length and move harder on the back end thru carrydown. Anyone use the XD on this type of condition?  I would assume you'd scuff it slightly for carry down.

I had a 300 with a Yeah Baby so obviously I like the core.

The XD is my go-to ball when the oil breaks down.  And, my teammates can't wait for it to come out.  My first ball is ALWAYS a strike.  I don't know why?  But, this ball handles carrydown and used lanes very, very well. It is my second game ball and usually stays once it is out.

One house is not as wet as the others, and this ball is my leadoff ball.  And, I don't have to change from that.

I also bowl on a second shift league.  The lanes are generally spent before we get out.  This ball is performing extremely well in this condition.  It always gets good length, and hits hard with a late break.

Mine is drilled pin over and outside of the RF 4"from PAP, and stacked with the cg.

All of my balls have the same span, and IT thumbs, so the fit is as exact as they can be.  But, this ball just fits like comfy slippers in my hand.

Don't know how anyone cannot love this ball!!!

It is my second ball out, and it tames any condition that is left.  In the past week (4 nights of bowling), I have pulled this ball out late in game 2 and stayed with thru game 3.  Each time I start with a strike.  Again, my teammate can't wait for this ball to come out, because it always strikes on the first ball.  It has salvaged a weak game two each night.  3 times punching out.  And it continues right into game 3.

My final games last week with this ball were: 278-268-259-260.  That's a 266 average in the final game.

While everyone is struggling on spent lanes, this ball just rolls like there is no trouble.

BTW, in the 5th league, I used it the entire night on a house shot.  Shot 236-230-278=744.

Great Ball.

I never matched up with this ball for some reason. I traded mine for a single drill Hornet.

Don't know why, Milo.  It happened again today in a 5 game set.  2 games for position, then match play for 3 games:

Widow Maker

Gm 1 - 208

Gm 2 - 222

Terminator

Gm 3 - 227

Gm 4 - 227

Xtreme Damage

Gm 5 - 278
