Straight Flush
« on: June 22, 2006, 01:40:14 AM »
I had my driller put a 3x3 drilling on this ball as recommended by the folks at Lanemasters. The ball also has a balance hole.
Very good looking ball.  It is a blue Pearl with white lettering and 5 orange
playing cards on it.

I had it drilled last night and was sure that I would be unable to use it. I used my Big bang the first game and shot 256. We had 4 leftys on my pair which is rare and the shot broke down very fast I finished the second game with my buzz and shot 263, but then my buzz was even too strong so I asked my teammates if they minded if I used the straight flush which I had never used.

Well, I was able to throw it straight up the 3 to 5 board and the carry was AMAZING !!  I shot 276 for a 795 series.  Do not miss out on this ball when it comes out next month.  My ball had 3 OZ top and it had a 2 inch pin. The pattern was a 38 foot Christmas tree pattern, but had been bowled on all afternoon before we started league.  I would say that it is five boards weaker than the buzz, BUT the carry is amazing.  I can't wait to get my hands on "The Sting"

Very cool !!! Pat Duggan at BowlingBallMall told me a little about that ball, and that it's stronger than the name would imply; if I didn't already have 13 "L/L" balls, I'd probably look into getting one too.

I talked with Galen yesterday about some different items but before we hung up I asked him about The Sting.  Unless Galen isn't being truthful and Lanemasterlefty has inside info, there is no ball in testing that is called The Sting.  Galen said they were working on something that he couldn't discuss at this time but it was not called The Sting.

LMLefty always seems to have the inside scoop though.  He was the first I think to announce the Big Bang, World Class and The Buzz.  Hmmmm.

I spoke to Galen yesterday too, and although the Sting is an appropriate follow on name to the Buzz, that name hasn't been selected or decided upon yet.
BTW, the Straight Flush will be out next month !!!

Saw a Straight Flush at the pro shop the other day.  Nice looking ball.  It uses Evolution Reactive, which I am assuming is a pearl reactive version of the Evolution Particle on the Big Bang.
