Starting over . . .
« on: October 11, 2006, 04:23:27 AM »
Had the misfortune last night of having my car broken into and my equipment stolen.  L/L two ball leather bag, which I just got, and my Terminator, and Big Bang.  GONE!
Thinking about starting over with the Big-R-Bang since the lanes I bowl on are consistently medium oil at best and break down very fast. Buzz is a possible second choice.  Anyone have both of these? How do they compare?  Thanks

Robospare,

Something you might consider... Notify all the local pro shops of your loss and to have them look for people bringing in those. Note the grip colors you used and everything... Something good might happen for you. If you have the serial numbers give them those too. I'm sorry for your loss, it's happened to me before also. It's not much FUN, specially if you loved those balls as I LOVE MINE!

Slow Hand,

Thanks for the advice.  I will call five pro-shops in my area and ask them to keep an eye out.  The L/L equipment really fits my game so I will be sticking with them.

Get ready for a heavy rolling early ball at least with me using that is, this ball hooks aton and needs oil to not go left off your hand out of the box. I used it again yesterday morning on medium heavy oil along side the big one, infinite one, hard core reactive and a horizon solid. The BRB goes about 3-4 feet longer than a horizon solid and turns almost as hard not quite but close. So you will need medium oil or better without a surface change try it and see if your results equal mine???

Update.
The Big-R-Bang is a KEEPER!!!
L/L just keeps releasing one NASTY BEAST for the lanes after another.
This ball reminds me of the KONG, length wise, but reads the mid-lane at 40 ft and continues to stores every ounce of energy you give it. If you look at the numbers:
BRB  2.574 RG  .037 Diff - polished solid
KONG 2.576 RG  .036 Diff - sheen particle
They are almost equal.
But that is where it ends.
The backend angularity into the pocket can only be described as a sharp 90 degree turn, where as the BB is hockey stick shaped. Hooks 4-5 more boards than the BB too.  The 7 and 10 pin don't stand a chance folks.
258, 232, 243 first time out.
Same lightning crack of a sound when it hits, more insane pin action.
This one ownes a THS all day.
