L/LM Big-R-Bang: First ball...
« on: January 16, 2007, 08:09:53 AM »
Well...it won't be my FIRST ball...however, it will be my first reactive ball. I've been bowling for a little more than a month now (about a series each day) with a Columbia-300 White Dot, and am now ready to move on to a hook ball (Was shown how to do it last night).
Some friends of mine are big in the L/LM company and can get me any ball I want for a good price, so the obvious choice was a L/LM...now, after comparing all the specs on the website, I decided on the Big-R-Bang (also, because I like orange). Will this be a good ball for me, or no? I'm not looking to break off 300's...hell, I'd be thrilled if I could roll a 200! (Currently average about 140 with the white dot)
I'm going to have my local pro drill it
I read on here to extend the length to use the L/LM polish?
Thanks!

Go with the big bang or black pearl imo over the big-r-bang which is an ok ball but nothing special like the other 2 balls are. Big-r-bang is nice looking but i think it is not one of there better releases.

Hopefully your driller know his stuff, your game, and this line of balls ... the ball has a STRONG cover and will "hook at your feet" if your layout doesn't matched up well with with your style. If you prefer reactive, there may be better choices depending upon your knowledge and experince with this line, and the conditions that you encounter. The Black Pearl is a sweet ball ... the paricle pearl cover and the core give it an almost reactive-type shape IMHO.
