Terminator Rebellion not approved yet?
« on: February 07, 2008, 01:30:10 PM »
Could that be why its taking them so long to get their new releases out?  I just checked the USBC site, and the Counter Strike is listed (scheduled to be released with the TR by the end of march), but the Terminator Rebellion isn't listed at all yet.  Nore are the other releases set to be released later in the year (July - Dynamic Power, Black Pearl Reactive, King Pin, and Juiced).  That would explain why everything has been put on hold and why the release date was pushed back.

According to Laybzz74:

JUST got off the phone with Galen Gentry ... both balls should be out to the distributors before the first of March.

Also blockbusterbowling.com has the Terminator Rebellion coming out on February 25th and it can be pre-ordered per their website.

You can pre-order the TR at www.BuddiesProShop.com and at www.CheapBowlingBalls.com but that doesn't mean that its been approved yet for USBC competition.  It's not on the approved ball list yet where as the Counter Strike which is also scheduled to be released toward the end of February is on the list.  This is the ball that I have picked to replace my benchmark ball and what I have been waiting for and it will be a real shame if its not approved for USBC competition.

Don't worry guys... It's not as if they're putting lead in the ball or something. This is a less aggressive ball than the original Terminator, and the guys at LM know their stuff. It'll get approved, I promise!

I don't look for it to be less aggressive.  It will probably give easy length but a pretty hard turn off the spot and cover more boards than the Terminator in the back end.  I know there is nothing dramatic about the ball that would keep it from getting approved, but its not on there yet, where the other one to be released is.  The CS hadn't even been previewed/made public yet when the TR was origionally supposed to be released.

Sorry to mis-inform, but I mis-took the Rebellion for a regular Terminator.  From a quick glance it sure looked like the Rebellion.

I stopped by again today and there were no "Counter Strikes" either.

They had a good deal on some older stuff(i.e. AP2, Yeah Baby, World Class Reactives, Guaranteed, and a few others for $100.00).

The WCR is now "old stuff"? Oh, boy!
They'll never be there by the time I get there in March.

Jeff,

Send me money and I'll pick one up for you, I am heading back down to return/exchange a shirt that I bought today that didn't fit.

PayPal preferred, of course.

Counterstrikes are currently available at the Lane Masters booth in Albuquerque, NM.  They are $169.00 drilled (finger inserts included, but $10.00 for a thumb slug).

Stock was limited, though.

Terminator: Rebellion will be out in the next few weeks, and be approved any day now. The Counter Strikes are starting to ship out to distributors and pro shops this week.
