The Terminator

Looking through all of L/LM info it appears that they think that this ball has the most hook potential and handles more oil than any of their other balls. BTM rated both the BB and the WC as more oilers than this one. I don't have a BB but I do have a WC and I'm going to have to side with BTM on this one.

I've thrown them both (the Terminator and the WC) enough games and on enough different conditions now to make this determination. On a med-heavy shot I've got to slow my speed down to give the Terminator a chance on the backend, I don't have to do that with my WC at all. On a medium shot the Terminator has a very strong reaction but I don't see that it has enough backend for heavier, longer patterns.

Of the 4 L/LM balls that I currently own I would rate them this way (most to least) for their ability to handle oil:

WC
Terminator
WCR
Masterpiece

I love the hit and carry of L/LM stuff. I just think that they are slightly off with their assessment of the Terminator's ability to handle oil.

My Terminator hooks more than my Big Bang, Masterpiece, or Kong.  It rolls and sets up like a low RG ball and does not lope down the lane before it makes it move like the others.  When the carry down comes it slices through without any over / under.  This is truley the L/L ball I have been waiting for.

Unfortunately that doesn't  mean not a lot.

Many, if not most, strong polished balls will hook a lot more than most TRUE oilers.

The Big Bang is an oiler. While the polished Terminator wil lhandle a good deal of oil, being polished puts it in a different class than balls like the World Class, Big Bang and Yeah Baby1 which are not polished.

All will handle a good deal of carrydown.

I suggested to one person here that they sand the Terminator, mildly, to see just what it is capable of, in terms of handling oil. I have not yet seen any report on that and comparing that sanded (can be anywhere from 2000 grit to 600 grit) ball to the BB,WC or the YB.
