With normal drillings (not pin above the bridge or pins 5 1/2 - 6" away from the PAP) all 3 Lanemasters resin pearls are strong balls easily handling medium-light to medium oil.
The Absolute Power is slightly earlier than the Satisfaxion or the Masterpiece and is more of a control-type ball without being so even. Make no mistake under normal circumstances, it has plenty of backend - NOT a weak ball.
The Satisfaxion is more flippy in its ball reaction than either of them.
The Masterpiece is actually slightly stronger and almost needs weak pins to handle lighter oils. Its ball reaction is almost halfway in between the other two. I see it as almost a direct replacement for the Depth Charge; it is the closest thing IN BALL REACTION that Lanemasters has to a particle pearl (in my opinion).
The New Standard is MUCH stronger than any of the others; it is for medium-heavy oil in box finish. It hooks a lot more also. It is a definite step up from any of the others, including the Depth Charge.
Keep in mind that adjustments to Lanemasters ball's surfaces, so far as I have seen, react exactly as you'd expect. Many balls do not. Add polish they go longer, backend more, AND handle less oil. They need very little polish to make visible changes in ball reaction. Add surface and they hook earlier and handle more oil. ALl are easy to modify in any direction.
