Title: Website
Post by: TM3 LMBowling on September 09, 2009, 09:42:53 PM
Hey everyone I have updated our current website. I finally cracked my brain enough to update some of the ball info. It is a work in progress and everyday there will be some new information. Pictures of all the balls are there with cores and most of them have the numbers with them. There are a few that need more updates so please feel free to send me a message outside of the forum if you see something I missed. The Front Page is tough to work with but now that I have some and I mean some knowledge of the program I will update asap. All balls and pics are listed under their performance catagory. Thanks for being patient everyone. I will continually try to keep the balls up to date from now on. www.lanemastersbowling.com

Looks good so far.  In case you don't hear it enough -- thanks for keeping us abreast of what's going on, tackling the website update, putting up with tech questions, and representing a great bowling ball company.

I do have one question - and no catcalls about it being a lame question.  Did the Kingpin and Juiced get set aside permanently, or are they actually still a viable candidate for release?

Tony,

Please get rid of that wasted long intro.

What am I missing?
I see nothing new? The Solid Strike is there, with "no info".
The Xtreme Damage is not.
???
I've re-"freshed"

As I asked in my previous post, if you see anything please send me a message outside of this forum. I know there are some spots without the numbers. It says that right in the opening statement of this thread. Also I again must tell you I know nothing about Flash and never claimed to. I found a way to get the pics up and numbers in and this is a work in progress. I will stop posting if I receive any more crticism or lame remarks. I try to keep you guys in the loop because you are loyal customers and deserve to know what is going on in the company.

Charlest did you look in the Max performance category? The Ball is right there. Also the Xtreme is on the front page on the bottom right corner with the Buzz Attack. And no I can not get rid of the Long Intro as I stated before I have very little knowledge of the program this was written in. I'm a bowling guy not a graphic artist/web designer.

Sorry for the long reply but my workload is huge right now and a little courtesy is appreciated. Not being cracked at like this.

Since when is asking a question about something that you cannot see - "Spewing". If you're such the expert, why didn't you explain it, instead of only criticizing?

Still Flash-based, still has video and audio that plays automatically.  Still one of the slowest sites I've used.

I'm sorry, but I don't like it.  I haven't been crazy about the LM website for quite a while.  I absolutely love my Yeah Baby and my Sure Strike they're the best balls I've ever thrown and I plan to keep using Lanemasters equipment for quite some time.  But the website, I don't like it.

What difference does it make. Can you get the info that you're looking for? I believe you can.You throw their bowling balls, not their website.

The website is a marketing tool.  That's what corporate websites are.  If the marketing is annoying or difficult to use, I'm not as likely to look as closely.  I'll move on to their competitor, whose equipment is easy to get get information on.  It's never been an issue that the information is unavailable, it's that it's a pain to get to and, most of all for me, any kind of audio or video that plays automatically means the website sucks.  I've hated noisy websites since I first started using the Internet nearly 15 years ago.

Shelley,

I'm with you but it is all I have right now and as soon as I get some time I will be fixing the one we had someone working on for months. It is in Html and a lot cleaner and easier. I am a KISS guy and will make it better for everyone as soon as I can. Contact Pat Pattersonhe has a link to something I worked up a while back that is very simple and I do not mind your opinion off the record. Please do that through private message. Thanks.
