I have been and will be drilling more Lane Master balls. I like the way the roll and work well on oil. PBA Regionals have plenty of oil most of the time, so I think the LM balls should work well.

I haven't drilled any LM balls with the "Rico" layout. Have any of you? Are they too early? Roll out?

It shouldnt be a problem, as most of their equipment seems to be pretty "rollish" anyway. And I have been considering doing this as well with a sure strike and possibly a buzz (buzz for hooking heads but smoother off break). I've heard where a few different people have had success using that on a SS.

Mike,

A friend, who is a good average league bowler (215 - 225), tried a Rico on a Sure Strike and it handled medium - medium+oil (Brunswick Anvlilane surface) like a charm.

I think it should also work well on a Big-R-Bang because that balls gets so much natural length. I haven't tried it on any others myself, but based on the way my Buzz reacts, I am tempted and have been thinking about trying it on one.

Depending on how oil you're facing, and the fact that most Lanemasters balls have a pretty strong backend, in general, I would not hesitate in trying it on many of them, especially balls like the ABsolute Power, the Big Kahuna, Yeah Baby!, the Sting and the Black Pearl.

I wouldn't try it on a New standard, NS2, Terminator, MAsterpiece or AP2 solely because those balls are so even reacting, with their stock surfaces. If you polish them, that's another story.

Thanks for the replys. I love my Terminator. Shot 729 in league tonight, Clean 30. I haven't gotten to throw my Buzz much, just too much oil on the fresh and Terminator handles the transition really well.

Pretty sure we are going to drill a Big R Bang next. I think I will try the Rico on the Sure Strike and/or the XS Power. I like the Rico on solid reactive balls. Maybe a 2nd Big R Bang with Rico?

My league house it THS with tons of oil in the middle. Hardly ever move left. That and I usually drill all balls with PBA Regionals in mind, and they have usually have a pretty good volume of oil, depending on surface of course. Not bowling any until I think February, but I think LM's aggressive rolly nature will be excellent on the soup. Still worried about Shark though?? Haven't conquered that one yet, maybe I need a Conqueror!!?? LOL!!
