Title: Welcome back old friend...
Post by: leftyinsnellville on August 17, 2009, 05:41:11 AM
When I moved away from Hawaii I sold almost all of my gear...out of all the balls I sold or gave away to the high schoolers, the one I missed the most was my Lane Masters New Standard 2.  I recently bought a used NS2 that was drilled left-handed...I liked the layout so I just had to fill the thumbhole to increase the span a little.

Took it out for a spin this weekend not really knowing what to expect as I've never thrown the NS2 on synthetic lanes.  I'm happy to say that it was as good as I remembered.  Pretty fair length for such an aggressive coverstock and once it grabbed there was no stopping it and no sign of burning up.  It's great to have old reliable back in my aresenal.

It is s very good ball, esp. with the sheen OOB finish. I love mine (has a strong label setup) because it offers so much control and traction on tough lanes, esp. new synthetics.

when i can find enough oil for mine there's no hope for the pins! gotta love it when people come over and ask, " hey whats that ball you throwing there?", and when you say lane masters they just scratch their head confused and walk away.
