Which early Lane Masters/Legends gem should make a comeback?
« on: August 01, 2017, 11:07:44 AM »
With so many companies turning back the clock and bringing back some gems from the past. I'd like to hear from some users of the equipment. Which Lane Masters or Legends piece from the early days would we like to see get a nice upgrade, and be brought back to the forefront for all to enjoy? Definitely anxious to hear some suggestions from everyone. My pick would be the Metal.

The original Black Pearl.

But only if it has the original cover stock with the diamond particles.

I would also take an original Sting.

the World Class. I always wanted to throw one.

I can't put my finger on the current lane masters stuff, just not sure about it and don't see spending regular ball money on any of the releases at the moment. The Ultimate Strikes and Power Strikes have been the most interesting to me though

+1 World Class-Particle(Blue One)

The only Lane Master/Legends ball that has ever cracked. (I believe it was exhausted from use) ;)

Be aware of the original World Class(Blue), there are(at least) two different versions of the ball. The first one was fantastic, but there was a lawsuit with Lane #1 about the core. The later balls, while looking the same, are not the same.

The Big-R-Bang, because I always wanted one but never pulled the switch;
The Masterpiece and the original Absolute Power, 2 of the most useful, powerful, control pearls I have ever thrown.

Ones I would want if I didn't already have them -
I still have an original Buzz, a really great ball in general.
And I still have my own original New Standard, an incredible carry ball.

I love the Masterpiece. I chased one for almost a full year a few years ago and could never get my hands on a it. Should have never let the first one get away.

Big-R-Bang was a great ball for lighter conditions.

You ain't lying about that. I believe Pat Patterson has the only NIB Big R Bang in existence, lol. And the carry with the New Standard is impressive.

And, I can't kill that New Standard with a stick. God only knows how many games are on it; still reacts like new.

The only Lane Master piece that I has was the Big R Bang which I liked a bunch.  Neat to see it return.

What should I expect out of my Conquerer, Big Bang, and/or New Standard 2 on today's conditions? I am trying to decide if I should drill one of them up with a long pin to PAP for a mild reaction to replace my wore out Mega Friction.

I LOVE particle as a control piece on flying backends.

The New Standard. But we know L/M will not duplicate this ball with the original Diamond Particle cover. It would be illegal. So glad I still have the original in the bag.

The Original Sting, have 4, and they still outperform most of the new releases.
