World Class R vs Big R Bang
« on: October 17, 2006, 04:15:24 PM »
I am beginning to get the "new ball fever" again. I have the World Class R. In looking at the flyers of both it and the Big R Bang, it shows the Big R Bang to be a wee-wee bit stronger on the back end and a wee-wee bit more length. Of coarse the balls have different cores.

My question to those of you that have thrown both, what do you find different between the two balls and which would you prefer if you could have only one ball and why?

remember one thing.... you dont need alot of balls..... just one for each lane condition that gives you the reaction shape and finish that YOU most desire, and that matches up best for your particular throwing style ... ususally 3 balls and a spare ball.

That being said, dont get to many dry lanes balls if you don't have to.. lol

anyways...

BigRBang is long snap

If the Big R bang is anything like the original, and I am sure it is... that ball gets very easy length, and since the Big R Bang is non partical.. I believe its going to get great length on medium oil conditions and really burn on the back end, being very angular and strrong on the back end...  the core design is very long snap, and with the medium RG and evolution resin, its definitly going to be more versitle than the WCR, and perhaps have enough power to battle carry down better, since the ball is designed to wait and gather energy, then release it on the back end all at once, making it (in theory) work its way through carry down better than the WCR.

Although not the same, the core in this ball reminds me a little bit of the old Quantum cores and those old Quantum cores are my all time favorites. I bought a large number of different Quantums back in those days and never found one that failed to match up to me.

LOL ...

Hey, I just PayPaled for another KONG and an AP2 ... I got them both for $240 shipped and I plan on using the new KONG(I have one already) for regional and sports patterns. I'm not sure yet about the AP2 ... I'm gonna have to reevaluate my current aresenal (drilled and NIB) and figure out what needs to go via sale or trade.

Robb, in reality, I "think" I am going to opt for the Black Pearl and then if it does what I want and if I like it, I may then sell my WCR. I want to give it a bit more thought plus I am awaiting a reply from Galen on this ball and a drilling for me.
