I one Joes raffle and ordered the WCR. What can I expect out of this ball. I have been dying to try the Legends stuff so I hope I made a good coice.

I also recently purchased this ball and drilled it 4 x 4. Mine is also on it's way so I am not sure but for what I was looking for was something with good consistent read in the mids and continuos backend. A benchmark ball if you may. This ball was highly suggested for this purpose. Will let you know how it goes.

The cover is highly polished but is a solid reactive. The core is an extremely early rolling and large roundish core. The cover, as in most Legends balls, is fairly strong. I'd say it needs TRUE medium oil to retain enough energy or it's likely to burn up. If you have more ball speed than rev rate or you spin the ball a little (high axis tilt), you can use it on lighter than medium oil, but medium oil is its forte.

Charles, If I recall correctly, you have decent ball speed, but still if it doesn't make an extraordinarily hard AND big turn at the breakpoint, with that drilling, I'd suggest you aren't using it on enough oil.

Thanks Charlest, I will let you know how it does when it comes in. I decided on this drill after talking to you, Galen at Lanemasters, and Allstar Joe. I have plenty of equipment for most conditions but was missing that true medium oil benchmark ball. I do have plenty of speed and revs being in the 15-16 mph range comfortably. I can speed up or slow down comfortably without losing consistency. Like I said, just looking for that 1st ball out of the bag for tourneys to tell me which way to go.

I thought the World Class Reactive was a pearl reactive.  Not totally sure, but if it's a solid, then Bowling This Month, and Bowlers Journal both have it incorrectly listed as a pearl reactive.  Mine does seem to act more like a pearl as it flips pretty good even drilled stacked leverage.  Pearl or solid, it's a terrific ball.

Check the Lanemasters or Legends website. They do indicate which are pearls and there are only a few. Many people thought both the WCR and the Big-R-Bang were/would be pearls, but the website doesn't seem to say they are. The Buzz says it's a pearl, and the chart I have says the Masterpiece is a pearl. nad that's all I see. (I thought the STraight Flush was a pearl, but the website does not say that.
