Red Diamond is the real deal

As much as I love my Lord Field equipment the Lane Masters Red Diamond may be my favorite ball reaction on house conditions.

In box finish it was very clean through the front with a quick response to friction and a controlable flip/set motion on the back. I have not been able to cover a lot of boards with mine but it carries very well with tighter lines and not giving the head pin away to much. Shot 730 with it during sweeps tonight (along with the Big Hurt) for 3rd place singles and some cash.

This ball is a very good complement to the LF arsenal. Hope to drill more Lane Masters balls in the near future.

Hope to have a video done next week and will post pictures of my layout.

How is your Red Diamond drilled? What conditions have you used it on?

Devin - Are you saying that the Red Diamond is clean up front with a continuous angular arc on the back?

That's exactly what I'm saying. The way mine is drilled it's cleaner up front than my Judgement and really close to the Off The Chain. The shape at the break point is different than either of those 2 balls.

How close are the Red Diamond and your OTC? What do you see when you throw them side by side?

The OTC reads the dry a little quicker for me with a strong arc and the red diamond has a quick hook set motion.

The red diamond is longer with an angular arc. I wonder how close it is to the Perfect.

i have the red diamond , judgement and otc as well . and just added the perfect
drilling the perfect this saturday so ill be able to compare as well. but i will say this
the Red diamond is a nice piece. I love mine when the transition starts and everyone starts to migrate left. then i just pull the red diamond out after my Otc is too early and stand n the same spot WORKS GreAT !  hoping the perfect falls somewhere in between.

Bowlingnut: how much earlier is the OTC compared to the Red Diamond? I was thinking they would be similar.

I'm not a staffer, as that seems to concern some folks.
Received my Red Diamond about 2-3 weeks ago and had it drilled 50* x 4.5" x 45*.
Cover as came in box.
Have used on new Brunswick Synthetics a fresh THS and a broken down THS.
Getting thru the fronts is no problem and makes it move at 45' and hits like I expect a Lane Masters piece. Crack and never quits.
I'll more then likely buy another and drill  40* x 4" x 35* when there's a little more lane conditioner.
Overall extremely pleased and getting my Big Bang SE drilled shortly. Waiting on a few reviews from staffers to see what they think and what type of drilling's they have used.
Try a Lane Masters, you won't be sorry.

I know this topic is a couple weeks old, but I didn't feel like starting a new topic as this one has had some good information.

Can anyone compare the Red Diamond to the Perfect? I've always had more success with symmetric cores, so really giving Lane Masters a look

The Red Diamond has a light particle load which makes this ball very smooth and deceptively aggressive .

From the description with a light particle I was wondering how the Red Diamond would compare to the older L/M balls such as the Black Pearl which also a light load polished particle.  Can anyone with the Red Diamond that also had a BP give me a comparison between the two? Which older L/M ball does it resemble the most if not the BP?
