WCPP Strength

FYI...........Lanemasters updated their ball chart and lists the WCPP and the Black Pearl as the same strength on the ball chart for those that were wondering.

Legends World Class Particle Pearl....Jim.

It was supposed to come out in Sept. I believe but was pushed back because of the popularity of The Sting and the newer High Performance Series.

Wouldn't that be WCPP and not WCCP then?
(note....I think you meant WCPP and not WCCP, but just wanted to have some fun with you Scotts )

Here is a post I made a little while back about the comparison of the WCPP and BP.

Hope it's useful.

Thanks Pat.....they seem very simliar.  Wonder why they'd produce two balls in the past 2 years that have the same characteristics?

My guess is they want to keep the "World Class" line going and the only thing missing was a Particle Pearl.  Dunno?

They have done that with a few pairs of balls, to my eyes. Theballs are different but only very slightly different. It's almost as if there are two factions inside of Lanemasters, competing with one another. The World Class and the Big Bangs, both particle pairs and the reactives pairs seem to me to be too similar. Equivalent reactions can virtually be accomplished with slightly different drillings and/or surface changes.

Whereas balls, like the Buzz and the Sure Strike, while similar, are very different animals. I really like my Buzz but am beginning to have hankering to get my hands on a Sure Strike. ESPECIALLY after I saw JS throw his, which has a Rico drill on it, during our practice session at Carolier. JS has been having some difficulties of late but this ball gave him the world in area and in hitting power. "Kowabunga, Clarabelle!" (from the old Howdy Doody show in the 1950s)

Well it got another chance this morning against the following balls on a fresh medium-heavy shot. The wcpp is now at 1k no polish but here is what else i had against it today. I have to say i should have went with the Xspower and i would have much much happier.

Beat'n 4 3/4 pin to pap hart in number 1 position at 1k no polish. Ball was pretty good made a nice to move to the pocket if i got under it enough.

Terminator same drilling as the WCPP 1k on this ball also, has decent length still and outhooks the Wcpp by 8-9 boards and revved up strongly. The Terminator hits like well a Mack Truck for me on oil, pretty good oiler it will always make the turn and hit.

The Rising pin to 5 3/8 on my midline ball at 1k no polish, mb 3 inches right of my thumb hole in the 45 degree position no weight hole. It actually came to life finally i hated this ball every other set but today the move of this ball at 1k is the nuts. Ball destroyed the rack shot after shot, i was about to dump it and after 2 surface changes it gets to stay awhile now.

Black Pearl honestly way too much oil for this ball either like the Wcpp, BP never touched shiny as bald head on elmer Fudd. It went pretty long and hit fairly well kind of a late move compared to when i would normally throw this fine gem.  Drilled exactly like the WCpp at 4 1/2 pin to pap, i love this ball and will not screw with the cover.

All in all i screwed up buying this ball for me it is a medium oiler at best, it hardly revs up and just seems to float threw the heads even with any surface. If i was bowling at Sam's Town or South Point i would love this ball oob, but because i bowl on tight oily lanes it will hardly ever be used again.
