-Layout/Finish:
3.5" Pin above bridge, with CG in the palm; Box Finish (1000 Abralon w/ Factory Finish Polish)
-On the lane:
The Bloody Cross goes a few feet further down the lane than the Get Some before making a defined transition from skid to roll. The move off of friction is very strong but not flippy. The core is the same as the get some so once the transition happens the continuation and carry is very similar.
This movement stores a tremendous amount of energy for very strong carry through the pins. The reaction is also very versatile, allowing me to play a number of different angles on the lane without losing any pin carry.
-Compared to other equipment:
The Bloody Cross is great for transition as the pattern starts to break down, or even on the fresh for medium to medium/light patterns.
-Likes:
Powerful yet versatile. Length with strong roll and continuation. Will also hook right through carry down if you get to the friction in the right portion of the lane.
-Dislikes:
As with most polished surfaces, you do not want to hit the friction too early, or you will see all of that defined motion happen way too soon.
-Summary:
The Bloody Cross provides you with a strong weapon in your arsenal as a go to when the stronger/earlier rolling Terra Power Ressurection, Get Some, or even the Exodus G1 are burning up their energy too soon, or failing to carry the corners. It is perfect in getting through the heads clean and storing energy to make a strong transition at the break point, then shows the continuation and carry that made the Get Some so popular. The Bloody Cross is one of the most successful Lord Field releases to date.
