I punched up my Bad News Tuesday, drilled it 40 x 5 x 20. I was looking for skid flip reaction with a very sharp turn on the backend and that's exactly what I got. I had the opportunity to throw on fresh oil right after drilling in practice and to be honest I hated it. It was simply going to long for some reason unless I slow rolled it. However I got the opportunity to throw it Wednesday in league and tonight in a sweeper and I was quite pleased with the reaction. I threw the ball quite well. I get a sharp, solid consistent reaction on the backend but more importantly in rolls through the pins. I only have about 5 or 6 games on it right now. I will submit a review after 20 or so games.

I would be happy to hear your feedback after you get a few games on it. Don't be afraid to lightly hit it by hand with a 4k pad to knock off a touch of polish. I have done this with a few of my oob polished balls and it brought the ball to life! Just ever so lightly is all you need.

I have done that also with a few balls, especially ones from track. Not sure of the application they use, but a little hit with a 4000abr pad does wonders on their stuff

I am a Lord Field Staff member. I have thrown the Bad News, and I can say that it is one of the most controlled balls I have ever rolled. I am a stroker. Not a lot of hand but plenty of roll. My pap is 5 1/2 over and 3/4 up. The Bad News is very clean through the heads on multiple lane patterns. I've only thrown mine on 2 different THS. One house is a wet dry house and the ball really flips off of the dry. You can really see the shape of the balls path. In the other house which is a modified house shot. You may have play a little more direct and up the boards til the shot opens up, or go to something a little stronger. I shot my latest 300 with the Bad News. It's was 3 years since I shot my last one. I say try one out. Bad News is good News. www.lfbowling.com, www.lordfield.com, www.lanemasters.com. CHANGING BOWLING, ONE BOWLER AT A TIME.

Great ball. Most of my layouts are benchmarks because I want to see the true reaction of the ball. The Bad News is very clean thru the head mild midlane move and quick of the break. I have shot 2 300s with mine this season. I had my ball nicked up in the ball return, so I got it resurfaced, not my first choice but it did change the reaction. So I took it to 800 polish from the 1000 polish that's out of box. Looking forward to see the difference. Hopefully better than before.
