Benchmark Ball for LF
« on: October 23, 2013, 11:01:11 AM »
Hello Fellow members! LF produces some very strong balls in their line. Even the weakest ball in our line up to me is still early and not really suited for those dry lanes. I am curious what you all think is our benchmark ball. The ball i think is our current benchmark is the Exodus Solid. It's early and smooth all the way down lane. Please let me know you opinions and thoughts. Thanks.

as someone who has closely watched how LF/LM has been doing, I would say the Judgement or Exodus Iron would be the benchmark ball.

My one thing with the newer companies like LF/LM and Radical, is that there doesn't really seem to be an option when the heads are gone or the lanes are toast.

The Judgement is super early but smooth on the back. I can kind of see that being a possible benchmark in a way. It will be exciting to see the new Judgement and Torment Evil when they come over to the states. Hopefully the new Judgement will be a little more refined with some pop.

I haven't thrown it but wouldn't the Burning Up being a LF option for when the heads are gone. I also think the Torrid Elite is a good option for Radical with that in mind.

Out of the newer stuff, the Judgement is a great benchmark ball for me. Most folks that have one agree.

As far as when the heads are gone, my Off The Chain works well as long as there is some oil left somewhere. My LM Big Bang SE is longer, and not as strong on the backend so far (the different layouts help with that as well), but I havent thrown it a whole lot yet... maybe 6-7 games.

I dont know how I missed the Burning Up, I guess no one has ever talked about it.

The Torrid series look to be great medium balls and very user friendly, but I still see them being too much unless you put a short pin-pap layout or shine the living hell out of it.
