Lane Reactions
1 to 20
1 being the lowest
and 20 the highest
Middle Lane Read
16 With the sanded surface, it allows the ball to read the lane very well and pick up roll even in heavier volumes of oil.
Backend Reaction
17 This ball has the biggest overall reaction on the backend out of my Lord Field arsenal.
Ball Recovery
17 Allows me to miss right a board or two with ample recovery. Missing in is less forgiving just by the nature of the ball being so strong with a rough surface.
Length Down Lane
14 Good length through the heads, but picks up more in the mid lane with a strong backend motion.
Number of Boards Covered
17 I can open up the lane more with this ball than any other Lord Field I have. Very strong piece.
Carry Rating
16 Have had a bit of trouble so far with leaving ringing 10s from the steep entry angle, but besides that solid carry.
With the OOB finish, this ball is a very strong piece of equipment. I am able to start a bit further left, which suits my bowling style a bit better being a power player. Out of all the Lord Field balls that I have, this is definitely the strongest. Very even reaction and very strong backend. Excited to try this ball on a high volume of oil to see how it matches up. This will be my go to ball for now for most of my leagues.
This past weekend I threw it on the 2012 USBC Master’s pattern in a tournament. I was able to start out playing right around 10 with very little bellying of the ball. Shot making was at a premium, but when I was on line the ball finished with a lot of punch. I moved in a bit too late, but I was able to open up the lane and play about 18-9 after a few games of qualifying.
