I ordered a new Korrupt, and I was wondering what everyone has thought of it so far. What drilling patterns has everyone used, and what do you think of its reaction compared to other balls in the Lord Field line?

I have been hoping for a little info myself. I have my Kurrupt at the shop waiting to drill. I will punch it up tomorrow so I can practice with it before this weekends tournament. Would be cool to hear from someone who has thrown it.

Threw the korrupt yesterday for the first time, and man do i have to say its one strong ball! It is probably one of the strongest balls I have ever thrown. Its a great piece! much stronger than my judgement, also another ball I love.

I have thrown mine and it is a great ball! Very strong reaction to the pocket. Mine has a dual angle layout, 45x3 3/8x45. My pap is 5 1/4 x 7/8 up. It is the strongest ball I have thrown from Lord Field. It is definitely a must have for heavy oil. I can't wait to get it on some tournament patterns to see how versatile it is. I will be trying to get some video out on YouTube to show how it rolls. I will post it when it is done.

I have been throwing mine for a while now and I have the layout at 90 x 4 x 50 with a Motion Hole. This ball is real easy through the heads. I don't see this kind of smoothness through the heads on a solid ball before. This ball turns the corner in the backend as if it was a pearl bowling ball. I have been able to take the surface up and down and returned to box finish with no issues making this ball very versatile in my books. This ball has a great continuation and seems to always take out the corner. I have been able to use this ball on WTBA Medium sport patterns to WTBA long sport patterns as well as your regular cake and ice cream house shot. Quickly becoming my goto ball in my bag.

One of my favorite of all time so far... Easy through the heads good length/backend and hits great. Smooth hard arc on the back for me and so controllable. It is the first ball out of the bag depending on where I bowl. So far nothing less than 660 with it and a high of 765 with multiple 278 and 279 games..

I really like the Judgement but I love the Korrupt. This ball is more versatile and hits very hard. I have been able to use it on heavy to medium house conditions as well sport conditions. I can play up the boards or inside of 4th arrow. It fits between the Defiant I use on heavy oil conditions and the Judgement I use on medium to light conditions. Can't wait for the next Lord Field release.

I drilled my lord field Korrupt 55x4.75x35.  Recently change the surface to 2000.

my line on Brunswick pro lanes 18-6.
my line on amf hpl lanes 23-6 pretty much what I show in my Korrupt video.

My thoughts
Comparing it to my Judgement they read about the same position on the lane.  This isn't too surprising since the judgement is drilled 60x4.5x65.  I was finding longer oil conditions my Judgement couldn't get to the pocket so decided to make my Korrupt fill that void.  Since the Korrupt is an asymmetric ball I expected angular backend so I went with a drilling that suits me.  Normally I would go with a 70x5x30 but didn't know if having a particle pearl 1000 would smooth the backend jump.  I went with a sooner angle and figured worst case I got room with surface changes to lengthen the ball reaction.

I feel comfortable to use the Korrupt  to play on some tough oil conditions.  I think this ball strength is on the heavy oil. I played the Korrupt on the nat 13 pattern locally. I played 2 areas with the Korrupt  straight 5 with a more speed dom throw and 12-7 with rev dom.  If I can remember correctly the nat 13 pattern starts to get lighter in oil at 7/8 board and that is where I had the most success on that day. Playing speed dom throw isn't my A game but I felt that it was the next best choice.

Scores bowled on ths.  Ahh, so far best games and series 298,286,266,257,246,245 and a 800 series.  After a few weeks I have decided that the ball needed a surface change so this week it's 2k may need higher will see what happens.  I was playing deeper than I want to start the nights and finishing I really should have ball down.  I'm hoping to be 1-2 board weaker line and the ball won't read early trying to get through the mid lane on medium oil conditions.

I drilled my Korrupt 5" pin to PAP which put the pin above the fingers with the CG slightly left of the thumb. I left the ball in OOB condition.

I've gotten a chance to get a handful of games on the ball in two different houses.

The Korrupt is definitely a strong piece. With that said, the ball is very controllable and consistent. The Korrupt shines when there is a good amount of head oil. As the head oil begins to burn up, the ball begins to labor in the front part of the lane and began leaving flat corner pins. Whereas other balls will jump and give you that obvious kick to put them away, with the Korrupt I remained in the pocket and it will take a closer eye to determine if you've made a bad shot, it's time to move, or time to put the ball away. This is one of the qualities that also struck me in the Judgement.

Back to the Korrupt, I finally got a chance to throw a full set with it this past Monday night. The house put down more volume than usual and the Judgement wasn't making it back playing 10-5. I pulled out the Korrupt, in practice and got a strong reaction playing 10-5. Ended up starting out playing up 10 to hug the oil and slowly migrated right with my feet as the night wore on, ending up playing 11-6.

When I was able to keep the line tight, the Korrupt finished hard through the pins. Moving inside, as long as there is sufficient head oil, the ball has plenty to make it back from outside. I wouldn't characterize the Korrupt as skid/flip but it is definitely a hard arc on the backend.

The key to this ball is definitely having head oil (in oob condition). With adequate head oil, the Korrupt gets surprising length when compared to it's box condition.

More to come as I get some more games on the ball.

Just wanted to restate my love for the Korrupt. This ball with the surface at 3000 has been my go to ball. It is so versatile it replaced 3 balls previously in my arsenal. Put your favorite asymmetrical layout on this baby and go. You will not be disappointed.

Where do you bowl that you can't get a ball back from playing 10-5? I am really curious. Here in L-Ville, Ky, the outside is so dry if you have any type of hand playing 10-5 will get you plenty of Brooklyn strikes! I'm left handed and have a lot of ball speed and high rev rate so I can play a little further out.
What you said about the Korrupt is pretty accurate. My layout on my Korrupt is 40x4 1/4x25 with 7/8 positive side and 1/2 finger weight. My Korrupt gets down the lane pretty easy with a strong finish on a fresh house shot. I have to start the ball around 25 at my release and be around 15 at the arrows to 5-7 at the break point. The finish is strong when the shot is fresh, as I lose head oil and it pushes I migrate left with it. I run into the same problem with my Judgement, but the Judgement has less overall hook for me. I have not thrown it on any Kegel/PBA patterns yet, but I will soon. The ball is one strong ball.
