Lord Field - Great Bowling Balls
« on: November 03, 2012, 04:35:47 PM »
I decided to give Lord Field a try and purchased the Exodus Iron, Exodus Solid Reactive, and Pin Hacker.  I am not a Lord Field Staffer.

After rolling the Pin Hacker for about a month...different coverstock prep, different lane conditions...the ball just did not match up well for me and I sold it.

The Exodus Iron has a versatile coverstock with good length for a particle ball and a nice smooth arcing backend.   I have rolled the Exodus Iron on a variety of conditions and it works well on medium to heavy oil with excellent carry (many messengers).  On medium light the Exodus Iron tends to lose too much energy in the heads and I start to leave corner pins.  Overall a great ball for the first game and a half, but you need to know when to put it back in the bag.

The Exodus Solid Reactive is an incredible ball...dulled it plays well on medium to medium heavy and polished it plays well on medium to medium-light.  This ball can hook the lane if you want it to and has excellent control and carry.   I recently used this ball at a house where I typically struggle and rolled 237, 244, 245.

The Exodus Iron and Exodus Solid Reactive will definatley be in my bag as I bowl in more tournaments.

UPDATE:   Used  a highly polished Exodus Iron (pin up) and rolled a 204, 276, 237.  Struggled with my thumb hole the first game, and then was able to get a clean release in the second and third games.  The Exodus series balls have a sweet roll and carry well.

If you have the means, you need to try the Torment.   You will not be disappointed in this one.

I like the look from the videos I've seen. I'll be in need of a heavy/ish oil piece and was looking at possibly getting an Exodus Iron to fill that spot since im right around 15.5-16 mph and average revs (around 300). Correct me if im wrong by thinking i could use that piece

SVstar34:
The Exodus Iron will definately fit that slot for you. If you are looking for a Heavy Oil ball a little stronger down lane I would recommend the Nasty.

Do these balls use filler or are they coverstock and core?

the exodus series balls are two peice  construction as is the pin hacker, the torment is a 3 piece along with the jacked, nasty, and heritage,

the exodus solid is probably my favorite rolling ball of the bunch, althought for control and down right bone crushing hit the torment is fantastic, Ive scored well with all of the balls, 2 11 in a row games one front 11 one back 11 as well as a 300 this year tell me they are doing something right

I agree with the rest the Exodus Iron is a great heavy oil ball. I agree with SVStar34 as well, that Nasty is a great piece for heavier oil as well but you are going to get a stronger backend out of the Nasty. Both are great pieces and you couldn't go wrong either way.
