All staffs have to pay something for what they receive. Whether it's shipping only or discounted price on balls/bags etc. The only people that don't have to purchase equipment are the National Tour guys, but they still have to pay drilling fees, and the pro shop guys that get seed balls. Now staff isn't for everyone and many don't see the advantages to being on staff, they just want freebies. If you are that good and think you deserve freebies from the ball companies, go and compete on national pba tour and see how good you do and make a name for yourselves. I know a PBA regional titlelist on Bruns staff and he pays for all his stuff just like I did while I was on staff, and I'm not a PBA member. So unless you are someone special, you aren't getting freebies. Now as far as Lordfield goes, I'm glad I'm with them. Yea we have to pay a little more for stuff, but I drill my own stuff as with a lot of the guys do also, so the price is fair and still far less than online shops. I'm all about supporting the pro shops and all but when an opportunity comes about to represent a brand, some people shy away and some grab by the horns and run with it. I love being on staff as I don't like multiple brands in my bag, too confusing. I like sticking within the brand and working my way up and down as needed.
