Old School by Lord Field
« on: September 07, 2017, 02:59:55 PM »
This ball is amazing and a blessing for me.  I have needed a spare ball for years and this gives me many options.
Little about me:
I am a current Lane Master/Lord Field Area Staffer
Left Handed (220+ avg)
Drilled in Adrian, MI at Lenawee Recreation Bowling Alley by Ryan Downard in Centerline Proshop

Old School Layout: 55x4.5x30
3-4 inch pin above my fingers to give me the length I need for spares and short oil patterns.

Hook Potential: 3/10
Reading Mid-lane: 8/10
Pin Carry:8/10
Factory Surface: 500 Abralon Sanded (URATHANE)

I use this ball for my single pin spares on any pattern
This ball is pretty controllable as the hook potential is not very high being a Urathane ball.  This ball has a very specific purpose for me and it does very well on my spares and super short patterns.

Overall I have to give this a grade of: B+

This ball has interested me because that ball is butter smooth even for a urethane piece and over at bowlerx.com they have it for $110 which is as cheap as true urethane comes new.  That core is pretty cool as well.  Plus don't see much Lord Field in my neck of the woods.  So much urethane so little closet space.

The Old School from Lord Field is easily one of the best urethane options on the market right now.  Even with so many new options from various companies, it performs as good or better than all. The Umbrella core allows you to play multiple angles with the Old School and it keeps its energy to have hard consistent hitting power to carry those pesky corners. Should be your next ball for the burn without a doubt. At 500 sanded factory finish, the surface can be altered easily to give even more length if necessary on the most extreme dry or low volume conditions.

It’s the new, amazing, WONDERBALL!

It slices out those tenpins, it dices up those racks, hell, it even makes julienne fries.

I'm not but it does look like a damn cool urethane ball.  If didn't already have a shit ton of urethane would probably pick one up.  I like off brands too.
