non-conforming/conforming question
« on: January 20, 2013, 06:40:16 PM »
Why are there multiple lord field balls on the non-conforming list that are also on the conforming list?
Was there an issue at first and since been cleared up?

With what had been going on with the 2 motiv balls being dis-allowed recently I looked today on the usbc non conforming ball list and saw what this earlier poster saw a couple of years back, and was simply curious myself,

I believe the non conforming balls just have similar names, but are not the same balls.

Example
Non conforming list says
 "Pin Hacker"
 "Exodus Iron"

Approved list says
"Pin Hacker Pearl"
"Exodus Iron Blue-Teal-Magenta"

Agreed.
I suspect the ones on the non conforming list were the originals that probably needed a slight modification to be legal. When they were re-submitted, the name was changed to avoid confusion. Thus the names are not the same.
