Barry, page 15

Maybe not a set of rules but more of a guide to running a meeting.

Thank you, that helps but not what I'm looking for, I think.

I was told that as president I could not vote and according to page 15 all officers can vote.

There supposily is a set of rules, not USBC, that govern meetings and things that can, should or should not be done/said at meetings.

Thanks,

League Operation manual page 5

The following also apply to this governing body:
★ Team captains may designate a team member to act as Team Representative at board meetings.
★ Each board member is entitled to only one vote, whether a team captain, officer or both.
President also is entitled to vote on all issues before the board.
★ A quorum is a majority of the board for business transactions unless league rules state otherwise.

I think thats in Roberts rules of order that the president can't vote, Also The chairperson or president cannot make or second a motion. But in the League manual you see it says you can vote.

Also if you are team captain and president, you should designate another team member to act as Team Representative. So your team gets a vote also.(in way your team is getting two votes doing this.)

You're probably thinking of Robert's Rules of Order.  Those are pretty standard rules for running meetings and gatherings where proposals are presented and voted on.  I've used them for large meetings with 100+ people and smaller league meetings with 30 people.

Thank you for the responses.  Roberts Rules of Order was the ones I was looking for.
