tonight i bowl with my dad....the desk guy annouunces"...when your lights come on, you have 10 minutes of practice..".  Theres no pins on the pin deck(as usual, normally you got to hit the reset button).  I go to throw the ball with no pins on the deck..i didnt care if i struck i was going to base what ball to use off of the shot...well i stick in the ball and it goes in the gutter BUT the FREAKIN DESK GUY resets all the lanes(ball is about halfway down the lane) and my ball hits the rake and rolls in the gutter all the way back...comes back with HUGE white scrapes all over it....and rocks imbedded from the dirty gutter...

mind you i had enough time after the announcement to see the lights turn on, walk up to the rack, pick up my ball, setup and go.

It was my illusion that i never use so i just left the ball in the house racks.

You got any MORONIC DESK GUY STORIES....too bad theres no anything goes forum here.

Im not so mad about the ball getting Funked up but the stupidity some people can show and that i hope my good equipment doesnt have this happen later in the season.(off the rake)

ps yeah i know the easiest way to keep a ball nice is to keep it out of the gutter.

we had a manager who announced practice, then disappeared without turning on the lanes.  lunchtime league so no desk guy and we're justing standing around waiting for the lanes.  took ten minutes before he came from wherever he went to start the league....didn't notice the quiet, i guess.
