Help me understand the differences in these balls....
« on: May 12, 2005, 06:13:11 AM »
Ok, I was buying one ball, but now I'm looking at getting two or more to really spruce up my rather weak arsenal.  Here are the balls I'm considering, and I'd appreciate some help to understand where they all rate.  From most hooking to least, and what kind of conditions they are meant for.

Sling Blade (I already have this ball, and it's my present number 1, so you can rate the rest in relation to this one.)
Saw Blade
Xcel Pearl
Big Deal
Zone Classic Green Pin

Thanks in advance!

Oh, and I should add that I KNOW I'm getting the big deal for sure, the other ones (Zone classic, Saw Blade, Xcel pearl) are all under consideration, I just want to make sure I don't get two balls that do nearly the very same thing.

Well, I play a down and in game from the track area and outside, if that helps at all.   I have also looked at the High Rev, and I'm liking what I'm hearing about the Zone Classic right now too.

They put out a good deal of oil at my home house, but they are wood lanes and can be erratic.  They have often broken down significantly by the mid 2nd into the 3rd game.  If the ZC is flippy, that might work well for me if it can get some length down the lane.  I am also looking at the possiblity if the High Rev.
