Reverse in finger
« on: January 13, 2004, 08:02:21 PM »
Has anyone tried drilling a ball with ½ reverse in the fingers?

I have a problem in that I hit up on the ball too hard. I was thinking about drilling a ball with ½ reverse in the fingers to try and take some of my hitting up on it. Just curious if anyone else has tried it and did it work.

Pinbuster -- I have used and sold balls with up to 3/4 reverse in the fingers because of stiff finger joints.  I do not see a noticeable decrease in revs, just a fit that doesn't hurt.  But I haven't tried the reverse on a bowler that doesn't need it because of stiffness.  If you decide to use that much reverse, keep in mind that you will need to adjust the span and/or the thumb pitch to keep from grabbing the ball during the delivery.  --  JohnP
