Really need some help in building a new arsenal please.
« on: December 16, 2013, 07:14:42 PM »
I have recently gone to 14lb. equipment and so far I have a Columbia Violent Eruption and a plastic spare ball.  I had picked up a used Ebonite Mission X but I think the ball may be dead because I can't get it to move no matter where or how I throw it.  (Had one of these in a 15lb. that I liked a lot)  Anyway, I want to add a ball for fairly heavy oil and something in between that and the Violent Eruption.  I'm a senior bowler with low revs and speed now around 14 or 15 mph.  My A-game is down and in from the 1st to the second arrow.  Need to stick with something in Columbia, Ebonite, Track or Hammer as that's about all my local pro-shop handles.  I know there are some new balls coming out in January and I don't mind waiting until then as our leagues are over for this year.

Any help, ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to stay within the Ebonite Umbrella, I would look at the Ebonite Pivot for heavy oil.. I'm not an EBI guy but I've heard a lot of good things about that ball and I'm even considering picking one up.. There's also the Hammer Cold Blood to consider as well.. For something in between your heavy oil ball and your VE, I would look at the Source (Ebonite) and the First Blood (Hammer) I don't know much about Columbia or Track but I know they have something for every condition..

I know its not EBI but don't sleep on Radical.. I just picked the ReaX 2 and the Yeti Untamed online for cheap and let me tell you, these balls are incredible.. I throw mostly Storm stuff but I think Radical will definitely be a main part of my bad for a long time to come...
