Lane Condition Question
« on: January 03, 2008, 02:57:39 AM »
I am currently about to join a league at a house i've never bowled league in. My question is, should i call the house and ask what kind of oil pattern will be layed out during my league in order to know which ball i should be using i.e. medium/heavy oil ball? thanks!

All of that stuff is kind of a generalization...  Usually the best way to find out is to take the stuff you have and experiment on it and get a feel for it yourself.  Also, the same oil condition and same ball may work for one person and not another based on their style.

For the first night, I would simply take a couple of my favorite balls that I am comfortable throwing (hopefully one is a fair amount stronger than the other).

You should be able to get a good idea very quickly whether or not you need to bring something different the next week. The other option is to wheel in two 6-ball rollers and look like a goon!
