If you are anywhere past the middle of the first game, getting the ball into a roll sooner is the old school way of thinking to get the 10 out.  The modern adjustment is 2-3 left as the ball is starting to burn up and hitting flat.

I don't even know where to begin about moving 1/2 shoe forward.

the half a shoe forward I discovered last year.  For me in the house I play in, there will be points where the standard left right adjustment will either leave a 4 pin or a 2 pin.  And mg options were literally 2 pin 10 pin or 4 pin.  I went hunting.  Found the forward move with the left move will allow just enouvh of an anfle difference to carry.  The trick is discovering how far forward and how far left.

Aldo, I naturally stop short of the foul line by about a foot so I have room to adjust up without changinf my step.

If you stop a foot short of the foul line move up about 11 inches.  That's my thought on being able to adjust 1/2 a shoe.

Moving up and back on the approach never worked for me.  I move my eyes from the arrows to the dots to get my ball in a roll sooner.

It is all about what works for you.  Why move up 11 inches and put my self in a position possible fould upon sticking, where I currently have plenty of room if such an occasion were tk occur?

And kutos to being able to from arrows2s to dots.  I couldnt.  I currently look at the reflection of the top of the 10 pin for my breakpoint, and totally defiant is great from out there.

however anyone adjusts for the 10 pin, this was meant for info to try.

Why?  Because the game is difficult enough for most people from 60 feet, no need to make it 61.
