first, i think switching to 15# will definitely take strain off your wrist. my father did that a few years ago, and his scores went up while his pain went down. the offset drilling will probably work too, because the conventional style is not the most natural hand position for a normal backswing. also, try and make sure that the grips and thumb are comfortable without having to struggle to get a good grip. last year when we had drastic weather changes in new york city, my fingers and thumb changed so much that i always had to force my hand into a comfortable position, and guess what...i started having wrist pain. any or all of these should help...if u dont have vise grips already, that should make your grip as comfortable as possible. make sure your span is correct, and try experimenting with an old ball to get a comfortable feel. good luck with whatever u decide to do.
