"11-year-old bowls perfect games, aspires to professional league
Boy bowls in high-200s as practice
COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio —An 11-year-old is making bowlers five times his age jealous.
For the second time in less than a year, Nolan Blessing bowled a perfect game at Northwest Lanes in Colerain Township.
He accomplished his first perfect 300 on Nov. 16, 2013, at the age of 10.
Last Sunday, he did it again during the Northwest Lanes Adult-Youth Doubles Tournament.
"It feels amazing. Everyone wants to meet you and talk to you. It feels good," Blessing said.
A sixth-grader at Our Lady of Grace, Blessing comes from a family of bowlers.
His dad Mark Blessing taught him how to bowl. His older sister bowled for McAuley High School and his older brother currently bowls for LaSalle High School.
Blessing wants to follow in his brother's footsteps and bowl competitively for LaSalle, bowl in college and eventually bowl professionally.
"I'm trying to stay balanced and I'm trying to keep my head up and hit my spot better," Blessing said.
On a warm-up with WLWT, Blessing bowled a 268 and said he can hit a 269 or a 279 pretty easily.
Blessing has a unique two-handed approach to his throw, something he learned when he was 3 years old and picked up a bowling ball for the first time."

FANTASTIC! Thanks for the info!

Our future, right there. Don't care if it's one handed, 2 handed, kicks the ball down the lane, or bowls in a wheelchair. We need more people to aspire to the top level of our sport.

Absolutely. Well said.

That's our future ... Exactly why bowling has no future. Couldn't average 150 on a sport shot and has 2 300s ... I'm sure that will drive him to be great.

No, you see, the future is full of hope. He can learn on the tougher stuff. What we don't need is an attitude like that. Belittling a child because he has 2 300s is OK? What is wrong with you? He still wants to get better as opposed to being a stupid house hack.
Man, how ignorant are you?
-
He's 11 years olde...he'll get smarter but he's 11...how smart were you?
Congrats and keep going!

Lefty must have at least 80 300 games. :)
More power to the kid. Wish there were thousands more like him. We always compare bowling to golf. Anyone know what Nicklaus said about teaching young golfers. He said give them a wide fairway and teach them to hit the ball a long ways. They can always learn to hit it straighter and shorter later, but it is much more difficult to learn to hit it long later. I think the same is true of bowling.

We get to fixated on scores and relativity of them....he averages 150, what does his counterparts average?
Appreciate the accomplishment we were all there once
