During last season I was diagnosed with degenerative meniscus in both knees, a slight tear in the right knee, bursitus in the left knee, and tendonitis in the right elbow. Great combo for a righty
Bowling was painful, but the day after was excruciating. During one session, Bruce Heim (driller from the ABC Nationals) told me to stop in the shop the next day. When I stopped in he said to throw this tonite (it was a used (his)) Monster ScreamR that he had set up for me. I thought what the heck, although I knew it was lighter than what I was used to, and a slightly different grip, I shot 634 that nite, and 668 the following nite with it.
It was part way into the 2nd nite when Bruce advised me that the ball was 14lbs!
I since have changed all my equipment over. (unfortunately a few old favorites could not be replaced).
My speed and revs are up, control and accuracy improved (especially after 5 or 6 games) and most importantly I am bowling pain free
Come to find out that there are a few TOP bowlers here that do throw 14's.
