Ball Suggestion
« on: March 19, 2010, 03:52:46 AM »
I am throwing a Hammer Sting and don't feel I can open the lane up with it. Does anyone have one? Or what would be a ball that I could open up the lane with?

If you can't open up the lanes with a ball as strong as the Sting, then you suck, end of story.

As for a ball recommendation, how about a golf ball or something. Time to take up a new sport, hack.

Why does he/she have to suck? Geez, this site has some of the most rude people.

Maybe the ball doesn't match up well to the bowler or to the conditions they are facing? Couldn't that be the case?

Thank You. The ball just does not give a lot of backend for me. I do out a lot of hand in the ball to begin with.

[quoteThe only way I can see a ball like the sting not open up the lane is if you have no hand at all.

Thanks for the post. I do not put a lot of hand in the ball.

Again, do you purposly not use the quote function properly?  It's easier to use than putting on your underwear.

If you don't have that much on the ball,I'm guessing your speed might be the problem..Too much it'll go right past the hook spot, too little there's a chance it losing energy in the mids.Surface adjustments may be needed to get the reaction your looking for.But because it is the sting were talking about, ill give you the benefit of the doubt. The sting is a great ball, love mine, but it is either hit or miss with some bowlers. If your looking for another ball you could look at the jacked.More surface, smoother hook.Or you could wait until bowl expo and see what else the bowling companies have to offer.

Ok Good advice. I also throw 14 lbs and tend to spin the ball. I hurt My hand 5 years ago but it is better. Should I try a 15 lb Ball?

I have to agree with Harry.

Besides, who cares about getting another ball, bowling is going away fast, right?

But whatever you decide to do, you should make your purchase from http://www.binghamsbowlingsupply.com/
