I have a lot of trouble picking up the 2-4-5 spare. I usually like to throw a plastic ball straight at most of my spares, but I've yet to come up with a reliable line for throwing a straight ball at the 2-4-5. I've tried throwing straight up 25 at it and I've tried throwing at it more cross lane from the right (I'm a righty), but too often I just pick off the 2-4 and leave the 5 standing, or I chop the 5 and leave the 2-4 standing.
If the lane conditions are predictable I'll just move 2-3 boards right and throw my strikeball at the 2-4-5 and usually pick it up, but in spottier/tougher conditions (which I often face) I'd rather throw a plastic ball straight at spares like the 2-4-5.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

For me, it's 3 right of my strike shot start......using my strike ball.....I never throw plastic at a double-wood!

I throw a pretty big hook so I speed it up with a ton of rev's and go straight over 10. Comes in just like a pocket shot.

2-4-5 isn't double wood. It's a bucket minus the 8 pin.
2-8 = double wood.
OOOps!!! Nice catch Rags!
