2.44 RG v 2.53 RG
« on: August 06, 2003, 11:56:22 AM »
I don't have alot of revs. If I was to go with a 2.44 RG over a 2.53 RG would this help in getting revs? I was thinking of a 4x2 drilling with a 3" pin. I know there are other factors involved, but in general terms which in your opinion would be better for a 4x2 drilling? I usually bowl on a long sport pattern.

Thank you

There's some articles in BTM(Bowling this month) from a few yrs ago that many on this site would have read about how all factors in a balls construction affects length, RG on its own is a fairly minor consideration, remember  work with the outside of the ball for reaction changes to start with, going to the inside of the ball should be 2nd on this list.

Why a 4x2, what made you decide on that ?  The lower RG ball will roll sooner, and rev more for you. Lower rg balls depending on the coverstock will also tend to give you better control or readablility on the lane. If you don't have a lot of revs, and want more, the lower rg ball will give you that.

What exactly do you want, and what made you decide on 4x2 ? Answering these questions will help us help you with your decision
