I did the CATS once also in Reno and I was at 285 and that was 7 years ago. But with tweaking the grip, improving my approach, developing a different release, and practice....my revrate has increased to around 315. And I too changed finger inserts and how they fit. Also, I do work on my grip strength, but not for bowling. I've hand/wrist injuries in my years in MA and if I don't keep my hands active, arthritis and tendinitis kicks in.
