I doubt reactive resin will be going away anytime soon.  But, urethane has made a big comeback the past 5 years with the 2 handers becoming more widely known.  Almost every brand now has at least 1 urethane ball in the lineup, if not more.  We've also seen the proven lightbulb core from the 90's make a comeback in some different balls as well.

As a new bowler is Jesper Svensson better then Belmo? Is it that Belmo has all the endorsements thats why his name is out there all the time. To me Jesper has a more fluid style where as Belmo is more power. Am I wrong?

IIRC, Svensson is 21 or younger, as he just competed in the 2016 Youth Bowling Championships 2 weeks ago in Lincoln, NE. BowlTV has the coverage on that.

He's good, but like I mentioned during the BowlTV broadcast, the one thing he is missing, is experience. What I mean by that, is that while he's gaining experience by bowling in a lot of tournaments around the world, the inexperience that youth brings still prevails.

During that tournament, an despite the glut of coaches that were at that event (Rod Ross, Kim Terrell, Bill Straub, Del Ballard, and many others), when they were struggling, a lot of the youths there (Kamron Doyle and Michael Tang included) tried to power through the pattern being used, which was making things worse. In short, "it has to be the ball, so throw it harder!"

That didn't work.

Contrast that to someone who has been through that before, and would think about other adjustments (balling down, squaring up, etc.). My 17 year old self would have tried to power through it. My 40 year old self would have squared up and changed balls.

This isn't a slight on Svensson, as all youths go through this. It's just time, and he needs that time to gain that experience as he grows into being a better bowler than he already is.
