Joe as you state, a prominent and lost part is that he is a genuinely nice "kid". His parents have raised 2 wonderful sons, and the father is a supportive, but not pushy Dad.
As to his High School average, that is straight from the ECIC records, and was published in Saturday's Buffalo Evening News, and headlined in the bowling column. Also stated he shot 279 in the final game of the Festival of Lights Tourney in Niagara Falls, which propelled his teAm to a 13 pin win (total 6 games) over my sons school to win the tourney. (sidenote, my son was 2nd in singles for the tourney).
As to the traveling youth league, they use variations of patterns at MANY different houses throughout the region, and yes, his average is lower in that league, but still in the high 220's. Even though it is a competitive league, it is by far a more "fun" environment than the High School league.
Believe this, I have watched him personally bowl against Brad Angelo, trading shots, using different lines, starting at the twig and going as deep as capping the gutter crossing the 5th arrow! This youngster is GOOD!
I am proud to have gotten to know him, his brother and father through bowling, and if anyone has any doubt about any of this, please come to WNY, watch, and maybe bowl some with myself and others for fun.
As for Tracker798, this invite is also for you. Since you have no profile, percentages are that you are not from WNY. If you are in WNY, let me know when we can get together so as to watch "young" Westfield and his talents.
