Anybody here ever shoot a 284?
Well, there's a place that just opened up in my area that is offering 10 thousand dollars for anybody that can shoot a 284 game. I've never heard of anyone throwing that score before. I would think it's almost impossible.
-
Just figured it: 10 in a row then a 4 spare. Getting the four count on the first ball is the hard part.

284 IS possible, you just need a XXX XXX XXX X62.
10 in a row plus 4 spare is also an option.

Yep, that works, too. Six count would be easier.

Sadly enough, I've done 284 via first 10, dbl nuts, get 2.
I think there are 5 ways to shoot 284 as follows:
spare, 10-bagger, 4 count
10-bagger, 70
10-bagger, 62
10-bagger, 54
10-bagger, 4-spare
If could just get the 10-bagger,
I KNOW I could get the 70.

There are also other "options", e. g. starting out with a spare, then filling up with strikes like 0/XX XXX XXX XX4.

Spider, your not Robert Mushtare in disguise, are ya?

Me: "These lanes are tight. I have 2 boards!"
My buddy with front 8: "Me too!"
Me: "Yeah, but yours both have arrows on them, and an arrow in between!"

Only if your dad is the owner of the bowling alley.

I acutally shot 284 in a Michigan Majors tournament back in February. I went front 10, through the nose 7 and missed them all.
All I won was $150

Ahhh Disco Biscuits!

I have done it as well. Front ten with a 6-7-10 in the eleventh. Put it in the channel for 284. Why couldn't my bowling alley been offering that when I shot that. Unfortunately, that is my high game as well.
-
I've also done it. Front 10, 4-7-10, then put it in the ditch.
-
I would think a 292 is harder to achieve isn't?
Mathematically 284 looks easier.
--------------------
it's almost always the indian and not the arrow
yes and i like this one also
don't go for a strike, go for a sure spare, we need 5 pins to win

Just out of curiosity, where is this joint?

Obviously, you aren't a golfer.
Some stayed in the foothills, some washed logs like teeth.

This is where it gets really hard. It's actually at a place called the family fun center(i think thats the name). It was built by the 84 lumber company in Farmington Pa. It's almost like a Dave and Busters. They only have a couple lanes there. I would assume that the shot wouldn't be all that great.
