I feel your pain. My first chance at perfection resulted in a 297. One more pin for a ring.
11 perfect shots and a dead pull. Nice going. You'll get it next time!

I had one of those kinda games going last night, had the front 5, all perfect shots, first words out of my mouth, "I smell a new high score for me". Of course my friend has to say, "Dont speek to soon, I know you and gutters when your doing good!". Next shot, pull it hard, totally passes the headpin, spare, next shot....GUTTTTTTTTERRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! lol Deffinitly good shootin tho! Keep it up, you'll see a big 3 soon enough.

The first time I had the front 11, I also blew it on the last shot. Since I had basically been playing a stroker's line for the time, I short-armed the last ball and sent it out about 2 boards too far and wound up with a 2-4-5. I'm sure I cut the revs down and probably threw the ball slightly harder. It was almost 2 years before I had the front 11 again and that resulted in 299, then the next week I had the front 11 again and didn't think about the last shot at all and...the result was perfection...very nearly a solid 10 again. On the nights of the 299 and 300, I missed 700. So don't feel bad. Both times, I had a line for a single game and lost it completely otherwise for the most part. On the night I shot 800, I missed the pocket once all night, but no 300. It's all about having some lucky breaks mixed in with the good shots. Best of luck to ya in getting that 300. It's always nice to be able to say that you've achieved perfection atleast once.
