« on: April 20, 2010, 01:20:25 AM »
Ok so I was in league play a few wees ago and shot 298.  So when I was leaving I said hey can I get a form to get my usbc ring for the 298 game.  The owner of the place said that my league voted not to sanction the league..  So am I out of luck hear I cant get the ring?

The ring is not free anyway even if the league was sanctioned. They only give 300 and 800 rings for free.

If your league is not sanctioned, you cannot even buy a ring.

That's one of the downfalls of bowling in a league that is non sanctioned..

Ya I figured I would have to pay for the ring.  I think if your sanctioned in other leagues then you should be able to get the rewards..  Well that sucks

You wouldn't have gotten a ring, they changed the award to an 11 in a row trophy.  But, since your league didn't sanction, you get no award.

being sanctioned in another league has nothing to do with award scores you bowl in a non-sanctioned league..

First off how do you bowl all winter and not know you're in a non-sanctioned league???? To me the only non sanction leagues you should ever bowl in are mixed summer just to stay loose during the summer waiting for winter money league to start....reason being what you bowled and what you get......nothing

Shouldn't that be up to a vote by the Captain's of the league?

Never bowl in a league or tournament that is not sanctioned by the USBC. Besides the awards you will not receive the monies collected and that are earmarked for prizes are not bonded and insured.
