Reactive vs. Particle
« on: February 14, 2004, 11:49:31 AM »
What are the differences between the two? are they very different in how they react on the lanes

I was thinking of buying a Killer Instinct Pearl. Its a reactive ball and have never thrown any reactive of any type.

A reactive ball is more skid/snap in reaction on today's shots. A particle has an arc reaction. These balls are smoother down the lanes and are designed more for a heavy oil or medium oil with carrydown situation. If you don't have proper oiling particle balls will more than likely use the energy before the backend, this is commonly called burn up. I prefer resin on house shots, unless you bowl in a flooded house or go to tournaments on a regular basis I'd stick with resin.

Do you prefer reactive resin or particle resin in tournaments?

You kinda lost me there.

Baically, particles are for heavy oil, if you dont have heavy oil, they burn up, wich is bad, they will end up hitting like a wet sponge if it burns out.

AM not A CHICK OF BOWLING but I wanted to be in Manda's clique And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS! I'd rather blow it over with my storm, and 21mph ball speed on dry shots.
