4-5-7 help
« on: August 02, 2009, 06:47:35 AM »
I'm a low rev female and i have only been bowling for the past three years in which my game has been progressing, however i tend to leave the 4-5-7 more than any other spare/split does anyone know why this is?

I also find that after a couple of games my ring finger begins to slip out of my finger insert during my swing, even if i have dried my hands off with a grip sack etc, does anyone have a solution so this doesn't happen?

Thanks in advance =)

5 pins and 7 pins for righties tends to mean your ball isnt driving thru the pocket (hence the saying no drive no five).  this could mean a couple different things . The ball your using is to light and deflecting,  or is too heavy therefore causing you to loose to much speed. it could also be other things but these are usually the main causes

The finger issues could be related to pitch needing changin on one finger. or it could be the span needs fine tuning. Have you had a recent check at your local pro shop?? had your inserts changed? they are not meant to be put in balls and never be changed. (most recommend 30 40 games.) at least once a season for a one night a week bowler.

Thanks for the advice, others have said about changing the finger pitch as well, the last time i had my span checked was before the World Youths last year so i will talk to my pro shop operator about it. It happens with every ball even newly drilled up ones so i think it is more of a pitch/span issue than changing the inserts which i already do.

I've been working on increasing my ball speed, but in terms of lane movements which adjustments should i be making as to not leave the 4-5-7?

I would say move 1 right and move your target one left
