Basket ball and bowling don't mix.
« on: September 15, 2003, 12:16:24 AM »
Man am I upset. I was playing some 3 on 3 hoops yesterday and I think I broke or severly sprained my ring finger. It is all purple and swolled. I can move it fairly well so I don't think it is broken. 3 nights of bowling this week I'll likely miss for sure. Hopefully this will heal fast but no way I can even think of throwing a bowling ball.

bummer

im a crazy keen basketball player aswell. I dont think you will have broken your finger. Trust me you would know if you did. From your discription you have jarred your finger. Commonly caused by the ball coming into harsh contact with the end of your finger. Happens to me all the time. At one stage i have both the bottom and top knuckle jarred on the one finger. Hurts like hell, but you will be right in a few days. Strap it to the finger next to it, and you will be right as rain in 4-5 days. Dont let it stop u playing ball tho, its a hell of a game!

Good luck and high scoring

That's what happens when you try tossing a 16 lb. ball through a hoop that's 10 feet in the air!

Hope you heal fast and aren't off the lanes for long - Good Luck!!
