We started league last night, I shot a pathetic 540.  Whoo-who!

Anyway, I found out that linage is $3.00 a game for us this year.  Granted some of you probably pay more but I would guess most of you pay around that or less.  Here is the BS part, I can OPEN bowl for 2.75 a game.  That is a non-league member rate.  WTF?  I can't believe we pay a quarter more than some dude off the street.  

Are we the only ones or is your alley screwing you too?

Wanna review my balls

Lineage in my Tuesday league house is $9.00 for 3 games. Lineage in my Monday league house I think is $10.50 for 3 games, but it may have gone up to $10.75 this year.

When it's a small market, they can charge what they want and the bowlers have little choice. As I'm sure you can view from last night's rant, I'm not happy about paying $3 a game and bowling on dirt...

What's up bud?  I'm with the old guy, who was it...oh yeah, Bones...when I worked and bowled in centers in Chicago, league lineage was lower than open play because it was guaranteed money to the house, bar and snack shop revenue and so on.  When I got to California, they've always been higher than open play, I didn't understand it either.  This was also way back when you couldn't get an open play lane from 6-9pm either, there'd be a waiting list.  Now with the economy as it is and bowling participation down, centers have to run promotions just to get people in and the specials end up being lower than our lineage.

Lineage 13-14 bucks....gal of gas $ 2.38 Premium in Cali.
