positive driller experience....
« on: July 08, 2007, 04:06:49 AM »
traded for a ball online here...and it didn't react quite like i wanted...so i took it in to get plugged...got it plugged...went in to get it drilled this morning...and the driller was running the desk...playing mechanic...he was the only one there...so in between phone calls...and lane problems...and people paying...we had a look at my Big Shot...thumb hole ended up kinda wonky...so he drilled it out and re plugged it...

then i took out my sr300...and there were a couple of different track lines...i've been trying to throw straight at some spares...but he wanted to make sure...so he marked where my pap should be with some tape...had me throw some balls...and it was right on...probably gonna go with a stacked drilling...

all in all i was there for like an hour and a half...but...he really took his time...in between all the distractions...it was refreshing

Sounds like you found someone that is willing to listen to what you want amd watch how you bowl to make sure they drill the correct layout for your equipment.

I have run into a few drillers that did not care how YOU bowled. They wanted to drill a ball and let you know what YOU needed to do with it to make it work correctly. Needless to say, I did not go back to them.

As long as you are happy with what he did, then keep going to him. But you are right, it is hard to find someone that will be willing to listen to the customer.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

the other two times i've had stuff drilled...neither of them asked questions...just went ahead and drilled it for what i wanted...without knowing anything about me or how i bowl...

too bad this guy only works one day a week
